Competition

Selection of the best academic theses in the field of national security, defense, and the defense industry

Organized by the Alioth Foundation, the competition aims to increase public awareness of national security and defense while promoting young talent. Launched in 2022, it is open to students and doctoral candidates who defended their theses in the given academic year. Submissions from across Poland are evaluated by a dedicated Competition Committee, and the awards are presented during the Final Gala held each spring.

Edition 03
2023/2024
57 theses from various academic institutions across Poland were accepted. Participants included students, graduates, and PhD candidates. This edition was supported by XTB, a global fintech company offering a next-gen financial super-app.
Edition 02
2022/2023
62 theses were accepted, submitted by students and graduates from universities such as the University of Silesia, Warsaw University of Technology, Jagiellonian University, Military University of Technology, and the War Studies University.
Edition 01
2021/2022
37 submissions were accepted from students and PhD candidates from institutions including the University of Warsaw, Jagiellonian University, Military University of Technology, and War Studies University.

The Alioth Foundation's Military Family Support Center was established to provide holistic legal and psychological assistance to families of soldiers who died in service. The Center's mission is to guide families through complex administrative procedures and formalities, offer emotional support, and help them adapt to a new reality.

Comprehensive legal and psychological support for the families of soldiers who fell in the line of duty

At the Support Center, we focus on a deeply sensitive area—grief and loss. By supporting the families of those who gave their lives in service to the country, we fulfill our mission of building a responsible society that shows understanding and respect for soldiers and their loved ones.— Col. What We Offer

Legal Support

  • Assistance in obtaining benefits and entitlements
  • Guidance on administrative procedures and compensation claims
  • Support in interpreting regulations related to a soldier's death

A Safer Poland for Tomorrow

A project to raise public awareness of national security

and counter disinformation

Launched in 2023, this project aims to build a society resilient to today’s threats, including hybrid warfare. Special attention is given to youth, who are especially vulnerable to disinformation due to their unique ways of processing information. Key Initiatives:

  1. Regular engagement in public discourse, including digital platforms, to effectively spread reliable knowledge
  2. A paid internship program for talented students, providing hands-on experience in security and defense
  3. Educational events and debates to foster a strategic culture in Poland, including university-based initiatives
