On November 29, the Ministry of National Defense announced that Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz appointed Col. Krzysztof Stobiecki to the position of Ministerial Advisor – Plenipotentiary for Aviation.[1]
Col. Krzysztof Stobiecki, who until recently served as Deputy Commander of the 4th Training Air Wing in Deblin, was officially bid farewell on November 22, during a ceremony at the unit. The commander of the 4th Wing, Colonel Pilot Dr. Waldemar Gołębiowski, thanked him for his past service and expressed appreciation for his achievements:
– I am proud of your achievements. The appointment to the new position is a special recognition of the totality of your past service, knowledge and experience gained over the years. It is also a tribute to your achievements and full devotion to the Fatherland.[2]
Col. Krzysztof Stobiecki has been associated with aviation since 1992, at which time he enrolled at the Aviation High School in Dęblin. After graduating from it, he was accepted as a cadet to the Air Force Officers School in Dęblin, where he was appointed to the rank of second lieutenant in the aviation personnel corps in 1998.
He began his professional service with the 9th Fighter Aviation Regiment in Zegrze Pomorskie, and then, after four years, took up further service with the 41st Fighter Aviation Squadron in Malbork.
From 2004 to 2006, he studied at the National Defense Academy, where he expanded his knowledge of managing aviation organizations. At the same time, Colonel Krzysztof Stobiecki completed postgraduate studies in Aviation Organizations Management. During his studies, he repeatedly participated in exercises both at home and abroad.
In 2011, he assumed the position of Commander of the Air Operations Group at the 22nd Tactical Air Base (BLT). A year later he served as Deputy Commander of the Polish Military Contingent “Orlik”, and in 2014 he commanded this contingent in the AIR POLICING mission over Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.[3]
Since 2017, he served in the Ministry of Defense Inspectorate for Flight Safety. In 2018 he became Commander of the 23rd Tactical Air Base. He served in this capacity until 2024, then became Deputy Commander of the 4th Air Training Wing.[4]
Since November of this year, as Ministerial Advisor – Plenipotentiary for Aviation, Col. Krzysztof Stobiecki will be responsible for coordinating activities related to the development and safety of military aviation. We congratulate him and wish him success in this responsible role.
