The first edition of Alioth Group’s competition for the best thesis is behind us! On January 9, an award ceremony was held at the Foundation’s office in Warsaw. Three prizes were awarded (for first, second and third place). The event was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Alioth Foundation, Maj. Gen. Res. Pil. Dr. Włodzimierz Usarek.

In his speech, General Usarek stressed the importance of educating young people in areas such as defense and security. He also pointed out that it is often their fresh, out-of-the-box outlook that allows them to break the established patterns. First place in the competition went to Dr. Aneta Kolodziej for her dissertation on countering disinformation. The award for second place went to Zuzanna Rybka for her master’s thesis on the diagnosis and prospects of the Polish defense industry. Third place went to Joanna Lozinska (remote present) for her master’s thesis entitled. “Unmanned aerial systems in the airport security system”.

The conclusion of the competition marks the start of the next phase of the Alioth Foundation’s activities – the publication of the awarded works so that they are available to interested audiences.
